1. Booking, Payment & Insurance

Booking & Payment:

A booking is made when you pay a non-refundable deposit of GBP 200 for single occupancy and £250 for double occupancy (or full payment if you are booking within 90 days of the tour start date). You will be sent a booking confirmation once received. We reserve the right to return your deposit and decline to issue a booking confirmation at our absolute discretion. The remaining amount is due 90 days prior to the trip and you will also be sent a payment form for that.

Insurance:

Adequate travel insurance is a condition of your space on this trip. You must be satisfied that your insurance fully covers all your personal requirements including pre-existing medical conditions, cancellation charges, medical expenses and repatriation in the event of accident or illness. You are responsible for making sure that your insurance covers all activities on this trip. And you hereby agree and understand that failure to provide an insurance name and number prior to the trip may result cancellation of your spot. You also understand that none of the organisers will be liable in any case of emergency, missed or cancelled flights, lost baggage or similar.


2. Cancellation, changes & Force Majeure

Cancellation:

In oder to cancel your spot you must notify us via sandymakessense@gmail.com

If you notify us more than 90 days prior to the start of the trip: Loss of deposit

If you notify us 90 days prior to the trip or less: 100% loss of trip cost

Changes:

We reserve the right to make changes to the trip and itinerary such as change of activity and change of hotel. We will always provide you with an adequate alternative still reflecting the price of this trip, and will not issue any refund should any of these changes occur.

Force Majeure:

We will not be liable or pay you compensation or refund you if our contractual obligations to you are affected by “Force Majeure”. For the purposes of these Booking Conditions, Force Majeure means any event beyond our or our supplier’s control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Examples include warfare and acts of terrorism (and threat thereof), civil strife, significant risks to human health such as the outbreak of serious disease at the travel destination or natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes or weather conditions which make it impossible to travel safely to the travel destination or remain at the travel destination, the act of any government or other national or local authority including port or river authorities, industrial dispute, labour strikes, lock closure, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, chemical or biological disaster, unavoidable technical problems with transport and all similar events outside our or the supplier(s) concerned’s control.


3. Passport, Visa, Immigration and Health Requirements

It is your responsibility to check and fulfill the passport, visa, immigration and health requirements applicable to Costa Rica. You must check the up to date requirements in good time before departure and leave time for possible vaccinations, passport updates or similar. Most countries now require passports to be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. Should you be denied entry to Costa Rica due to lack of passport, visa, immigration and health requirements we will not refund you the trip money.
